Show offers a musical message for all Americans with a full-circle patriotic salute celebrating the American way of life; reminding us of a time when our country was fully united. The beloved classic To Kill a Mockingbird is making its Broadway debut in a wholly original stage adaptation, starring Jeff Daniels (The Newsroom Emmy Winner). Based on the celebrated Harper Lee novel of the same name, To Kill a Mockingbird is the story of six-year-old Jean Louise Finch, nicknamed Scout, and her father, Atticus Finch, a small-town lawyer in the American South who defends a black man put on trial. The story touches on issues of prejudice, poverty, racial injustice and childhood innocence. To Kill a Mockingbird, written in 1960, has become one of the most popular and well-regarded books of all time. It won the Pulitzer Prize in 1961 for original fiction and has never been out of print since. Bus leaves Midland Park H.S. at 4:00 p.m. and returns immediately after the show.
